I think it's the inspection window to view the rod pieces. Could it be the 99-00 blocks have something going for them? Seems to be mostly 01-02 breaking rods and ventilating blocks???

The 01 block was stiftened. It is much better than the 99-00 block. Don't buy the 99-00 block especially if you are building an upgrade motor. This info comes to me from Detroit, its the truth. I knew about the upgraded block before they were released.

Sal@psp is starting to sell engine upgrade parts. Manley rods, new pistons ect for i 'think' 1899. Give him a shout.
BTW sal is running a 2k block on his and has gone 11.20's and I am sure will take his hand at 10s on the next warm track day.
