1/4 Mile times for Stock 2000

Took my L to the track for the first time, and made 3 passes. Here are the times:

1. 14.376@98.19

2. 14.048@98.56

3. 14.117@98.95

The only thing done to my L is a K&n panel filter. Are these times good bad or what. What kind of times should I be running and at what speed?

most stock lightnings run in the 13.2(being the fastest) to 13.8 range so those times could use some work.but the one thing to take into account is your tracks altitude, prep, etc

No way a stock 2000 can run 13.2, period. I have a 2000L, and with a chip, filter and 4.10 gears, my best time was 13.14. I consistantly ran 13.2-13.4. The average time for a stock is normally between 13.8 -14.2. I will bet that as you get more and more used to racing, your times will will get faster. Times will also very depending on altitude, temp., and atmospheric preassure.
It looks like your stock L is right in "average" catagory to me. Try a chip, it will really wake your truck up!!

I've been to the track about 6 or 7 times, ran 30 to 35 passes, and my best was 13.8. I usually run 14.0 to 14.1. This is bone stock at a track with very good hookup (Norwalk).

Thumbs up STOCK TIMES

I took mine to the track within 1000 miles of buying it to see what it would run and I avereged about an 13.6. Bone stock.
Mine is still stock except for K&N filter and I think it is getting faster as I drive it longer!!

I ran mine three times before I had mods done. The best of the three was a 13.554 @ 101.10. This was at Englishtown NJ.

Took my 2000 to the track for the first time last year - turned a 13.5 with no mods, stock filter and stock tires with 24,000 miles on them.
Where did you go to run? Last trip I made was to Alabama International Dragway. (Closer for me than Commerce)

99-00 stock usually run between 13.7-14.1 depending on driver skill. 01's run around 13.2-13.5.

My 99 stock ran a 13.9 and my 01 stock ran a 13.3.

The best mine has ran was 13.66. This was very good track conditions. I think that is probably the best I could hope for stock.

Best advice I ever got ws from Sean of JDM last year at Fun Fords in New Hampshire. He told me to concentrate on my launching tecnique and focus on cutting 60' times. Your best time is <5/100s from the 13s. I'll bet you can shave that much by perfecting your launch!
Its also hard to compare your times with others from across the country. There are so many variables that its impossible to compare.
I have an unchipped 2000 with only a K&N panel (stock airbox), oval blade throttle body, and Factory Tech shift kit. My best is a 13.07 at 104.07 on F-1s. This was in 55* weather on a prepped track at sea level.
I bet you can coax more speed and quicker ET out of yours!

I got a 13.79@101 on hot motor, 2.3 60 ft. Soooo I think i could easily do a 13.4 with some traction and icing it down. (again bone stock) But we will never know, cus it aint stock no mo =)

if youve followed the fridge in mm&ff you will notice that they ran stock first to establish baseline and they said they ran 13.2 or 13.3 i think
