Is there a company that makes the lightning emblems without the black backing on them?

 

HI!... If you mean you would like yor LIGHTNING emblem to look all chrome, than to what the REGULAR F-150 guys have been doing for years. ACERTONE (SPELLING?) them. FORD actually chromes the whole emblem and then adds the black colour. The acertone removes the black sections but not the chrome.

 

Good idea, but I just want it to say lightning, chrome on red (my trucks color). I wonder if you could take the chrome lightning off that plastic peice without breaking it???

 

The emblem is all one piece, but I know what you're saying. I think it would look good if it was just the chrome letters only.

 

Try contacting www.billetandacrylic.com they do custom emblems for these trucks see what they can do good luck!!

 

if you had the patience you could use a dremmel tool and remove everything around the letters ( i think they would remain in one piece) then re-attach some how
