questions about speed grilles
Does anyone make a speed grille that just snaps over the L factory grill? From what i'm understanding, you have to cut the factory grill out..I'm not so sure i really want to do that because I may change my mind and not like it. If not, please suggest a good reliable speed grill that looks good and won't damage easily. I've been looking in several magazines JC whitney is the cheapest price i've found.. But also theirs may look kinda cheezy.. So who makes a good speed grill?? should i buy chrome or satin?
The street Scene Speedgrille you can put over your stock grille and a look at w/o damaging anything. Thats what i did and i liked so i went ahead with the install. Now if you are talking about not liking it couple months down the road just keep your stock grille and put it back in.
Yeah, the Streen Scean Speed Grille installs over the factory grill. Thing is, it is still visibile through Speed Grille. So many cut out the factory. You don't have to, just personal preference.
You kinda really need the stockl grill with the speed grills.
I didn't have my stock one since I went from a billet to a speed grill, but I managed to make it work. took some time, but its not that hard to do.

As far as I know, Street Scene is the only company that makes the Speed grill. I bought mine from JC Whitney, online. I have heard that if you want chrome, you need to call them.
The grill dosen't fit a 01 or 02 but can be massaged to fit. It appears that you have a 99 model so you should be okay.
Hope this helps
