Traction Control

I was reading an ad today that had a 2000 lightning for sale. The thing that gets me is that it said that it has traction control. I didn't know lightnings came with traction control.

All modern automobiles come equiped with traction control. They are called tires. Some units just don't work as well as others.

Some of you smart a$$es may be interested in knowing that there are aftermarket traction control systems that will work on a Lightning. I have one of the sitting in my living room as I write.

I was going to install it on my truck, but that's when the '00 motor started making terminal noises, and I don't think I am going to install it now. I would be willing to let it go at a very attractive price. And before you chime in with all the reasons that traction control slows you down, or is bad for the motor, read the technical explanation on the racelogic web site first, please.

I resemble that remark! Woof!

That's a neat system. The launch control sounds particularly interesting. Being able to turn it on and off is good. I like being able to break the tires loose if I want to.
