Intercooler questions?????

Has anyone tried improving their IC efficiency? Last summer something snagged and pulled a wire off my IC pump. After driving in traffic for a while I noticed a definite loss in power. This leads me to believe that a few HP might be gained by improving on it's efficiency.

Has anyone tried installing a fan to pull more air through the IC radiator? Or maybe a second IC radiator in series with the one?
Has anyone installed temp sensors on the in & out coolant lines?

Check it out.

Have not done any of these things myself but have seen a person at the track with a temp gauge. Asked him about it because it was an autometer that started at 100F. He told me that while the truck is running the gauge does not move (pump is running) and once he shuts the truck off (pump not running) it jumps up to aprox 150F. This is one of the reasons I installed a switch to run the pump while at the track. Does anyone know of a temp gauge that reads lower than 100F?
