Question VHS Video

Does anyone else think it would be awsome to have a vhs video just about lightnings? Or am I being crazy? I would love to throw a tape in the VCR with a beverage and watch Lightnings performing. Stuff like drag racing, burnouts , high speed passes, dynos, donuts, car shows. etc. What do you guy's think would this be pretty hard to do? Anyone up for the challenge? I know I would definetley buy a copy. Later Sap.

I am currently working on one right now. This will take a long while though as i wish to edit it in full so it all flows well together, with lots of the right music in all the right places, ,,,, and of course, permission to use any of the footage that i borrow. Its a great idea,, just lots of work,,,,, and i'd never sell it,,, i'd give them all away for free, or post it on a websight.

i am also starting to collect footage from street races, track, burnouts.... to make a video. just like sap said it is a ton of work. soon as i get enough footage i'll start the editing. it'll will be free also unless you want a copy burned to a disk, then it will be just the cost of the disk.

I only have portions of my stuff on tape, but the best are clips in DV format. Hopefully this year I'll more stuff with different angles. I should have lots of tape from Laguna Seca in 2 weeks, and more from Thunderhill and LS later this year. I also plan to have the full event from Silverstate on tape, although I don't know yet what would be the most interesting camera position. Maybe I install two and have the Nav switch cameras from the keypad (one in cab, one ???) with mics in the engine and helmets.

Ruslow finally showed me the easy way to get the brakes on tape with my camera. That'll be fun on a road course if I get two camera and have a passenger switch to the brake camera prior to the braking zone. I had been trying for quite some time and his idea was SO simple!

Regarding music, some of the stuff has music to it and one of the future vids will have music to it. I've already got that song picked out and I think some of you will enjoy it, maybe even more than the" Crank It Up" vid!

Of course, I'll try to make a few of the vids for the internet, so you can enjoy them at your leisure. The only thing that might prevent me from making more is if my dogs give me better material!

He prefers bagels, but plain white bread will do.

You'd be surprised at their diet. It varies every day but here's a sample of what they get: Ground top sirloin, turkey, potatoes (sweet or normal), raw eggs, flax, ground mixed veggies (like a pulp), bananas, grapes, other and other fruits, pasta, rice, yogurt, cottage cheese, tuna, sometimes pancakes and syrup, a little bit of regular dog food and...
He always shares a portion of my capuccino in the morning.

And when Casper, our whippet, catches something and decides to share it with the rest, they eat that too. Generally though, she guts and eats most of what she catches. The only thing they won't eat are the squirrels. They normally end up like stuffed chew toys: torn in several pieces, with the guts all over the place. It's quite a site, although their blood smells horrible.

BTW, I almost got one of her squirrel hunts on tape. Talk about a kill story!

Cool name and thanks! The closet we came to your area was a few years ago. Blazer was invited to be on TV (animal planet) but I didn't want to travel with him during the winter. Who knows, there may be another time.

Cool

I've got about 2 hours of VHS tape from some of last year's TALON events; autocross, FFW clips from Houston and Ennis, a couple of Go_rila burnouts, Silver_2000! doing 130+MPH, dyno pulls, and a Hallsville competition. stuff like that. I could make it available if anyone is interested. I wouldn't want this to get out of hand though. If someone in the Dallas area wants to do a movie rewiew and report back to the forum; that's OK with me.
