I know that I took a SS Camaro the other day from about 30mph on....never had a chance.....HOWEVER, i did get edged out by a WS6 TA also, so, ya never know, you can speculate about stock, but you dont see under the hood.

3. No
4. No
5. No
6. No
BTW, since your question is so broad, I guess you could change all my answers to "yes" and my answers would still be correct.

yo
spike,
i agree with you that his question is broad. but lets let the less aware know that all of the car types mentioned can run faster than a L. and an L can run faster than any of those car types. does that clear things up?? ya, there were go.

Keep your list with you and when you race one on the list, check yes or no. This would be the most factual way to do it. Not everyone can drive and/or race an L successflully without some practice.
Start easy and work your way up.
Don't know how long you have had an L or, for that matter, how many races you have done. In general, L's are extremely fast and with the right driver, can whip up on most anyone. With the wrong driver, it could get ugly, very ugly quckly.
Good Luck

I am pretty sure you can take those pesky Geo Metros, you dont have to start that low.
I dont think it can outrun any of those though, by that I mean ***** out top end. 5000 lbs + the aerodynamics of a barn? 140 miles an hour sure is fast, especially on ANY kind of turn.

I have raced (0-80 mph) all of the cars you've mentioned.
Z28- 75% of the time the L wins by a large margin.
(the other 25% I get dropped by the goober that runs 11.50's with a 250 hp dual stage nitrous shot and claims he's bone stock.)
Mustangs- Almost always win. It depends on the driver & mods.
Imports- Unless it's the Neuspeed Factory sponsored 9 second pro-street car. . .It's a win not worthy of claiming.
SS/Ram-air T/A. . .VERY driver dependant in stock form. . .modified they are kinda scary. Modified L's can hold their own.
Vetts- anything before the C5/Z06 style is dead meat. After that they get real fast. Wouldn't advise racing them in stock form. Better bring alot of Whoop-*** with you to go hunting a Z06.
NO OTHER MODERN TRUCK CAN TOUCH IT. I've even bagged vortech supercharged 5.9L R/T's with ease.
Hope that helps,
