I have a stock 99L with only an airraid and magnaflow and 20,000 miles. It sounds like the plugs are bad, but I want some other opinions before i drive it to Houston. Anyways, when i drive my truck normal(if you can possibly do that) it drives fine. The second I accelerate moderately(to the point where it needs to downshift), it will not downshift and it misses making an awful farting noise(like the WOT shift from 1 to 2). I just had the intercooler recall done on Jan 4, but from the looks of my invoice, they have not been changed the plugs from the previous intercooler fix which was at about 14,000 miles. So if ya'll think it is the plugs, which ones should I buy. FYI-I am going to put on e-fan, waterpump, chip, 4lb. pulley. Thanks in advance, Kevin

 

4lber, I would go with the Denso's many other use the NGK TR5's or 6's!!


It sounds like some fowled plugs to me, or a bad coil pack!!

 

Change the plugs and fuel filter and come back in the morning...
