Maybe I'll just go buy a big engine and have it mounted in my truck. Something like an 800 HP. Stick a nitrous fogger on it and run around with a sticker that saies. Faster than a Lightning.

OK, lets get serious now.

How much would it cost for a 700hp engine with a 300 shot nitrous?

What else would have to be done to the truck?

Like to the rest of the drive train and the frame of the truck so it could handle the power?

How much would the complete job cost? Including parts and all the installation?

Do it right the first time and buy a Lightning. Too hard to modify what you've got, not to mention expensive. New Lightning=full warranty and a truck that is designed to do what you wanna do.

Cool

You can do all this to a 4.6 XLT but it would be about $5000 cheaper to just buy a Lightning, and I am still 100 RWHP below the Big Boys. Am I having fun? You bet!

What do you really want? Sure you can build almost anything. It's also just as sure you can't buy a 2002 stock truck that comes close to an L. Dollar for dollar you can't beat the L for what it is, the King of the Sport Trucks several years running. That has little to no relationship to being the fastest truck at some dragway on a saturday night. If you want a sport truck buy one, if ya want a hopped up pick-up build one, if ya want the fastest ride at the track, start looking at Kawasaki's.

Sorry, posted it over there first, lol.
