Alarms?

What are you guys running for alarms? I'm looking into ones with remote start and proximity sensors. Oh yeah, and I want it to talk to me like Night Rider, lol. No, not really, but that would be cool.

Anyways, what are you guys running and how much sould I be looking to pay?

Thanks, Kimball.

No Joke Viper makes one that will talk. It tells you that you
are to close to the car, please stand back Etc Etc.
I have the 550 with remote start and love it.

svt360 - I had it custom made in California when I was going to school there. It isn't really any different then any other custom box that someone would make, it just looks better because it is covered with vinyl instead of carpet. Much better looking IMHO.

Anyone else have any input? I know more people have alarms on these things. To expensive a vehicle to not get it protected, especially with all the mods that we put into these things. Keep 'em coming guys.

Does OEM count?

I have the Ford System 4 upgrade sitting in a box on my floor. Haven't installed it yet, but it's on the list...

I have a Viper 550ESP in mine, I have had it in there for a little over a year now and it has been pretty good.

The only problem that I have had is when I use the remote start it seems that it is not receiving the signal from the key fob here lately. Put new batterys in the fob but didn't seem to help, I need to take it in and see if the reciever is having problems.

I think it cost around 550.00 installed at the local Circuit City.

alpine pager, triggered by a shock sensor, pressure sensor, or a mercury switch on the toneau cover and tailgate. no alarm warning at the vehicle but it does warn me by pager, works well if never that far from truck, which where it needs protection i never am..

also a viper remote start for the cold weather and command link so can disable the ignition by phone and also unlock door and start car by phone..comes in handy sometimes..
