Is the door crack just a TSB or is it a recall? I ask this only because my L has developed the crack on the driverside door and my L has been out of warranty for some time now(51K miles on her). Also is there any need to get this fixed or can it be left alone til it was to get worse? Thanks for any help.

I called today to check on this and currently it's only a TSB and is only under warranty if you are under 36K miles unless you purchased an extended warranty.

 

Yes, it is just a tsb right now. Get ahold of Ford Customer Service, and get it on record. Most of the time, dealers will eventually get to an 80%-20% agreement on the door fix. Check around on this site, been hundreds of posts regarding this issue. Good luck!
