has enyone lost to a mustang cobra?

 

so far i am 4-0 against cobras and 4-1 against gt's, the one gt i lost to was when i was stock and it was an old fox body at the track. from a dead stop most of them are dog meat unless they drive the **** out those little high winding engines and on the street its kind of hard to do (ive owned 2 cobras so far on n/a one supercharged) i still love em though and would love to have another one! but as far as street racing the earth rotating torque coupled with the 3.73 gear and a auto make a formidable stop light opponent for most anyone

 

I'm 2-0 against the 99 and 01 Cobras and have killed many of GT's. But my favorite lunches are LS1's and LT1's

 

None that were stock or close to stock...but there's a lot of heavily modified one's out here

 

Yeah they have a hard time launching on the street. By the time they stop spinning and start catching up it's all over!

 

i guess ive been lucky on the street not 1 mustang has caught me or pulled on me after they stop spinning from a roll or stop

 

I posted this info a while back with a "cobra over -enthusiest" who argued with me that a 99 cobra could take an 01 L.Well now that you all posted your kills, I have all the back-up i need.Thanks..where were you guys when I needed you.BTW, I own a slightly modded, quick 98 (best year) and I know my 01 can take it(chip,4#pulley factory air-box) Keep up the good work,fellas !!

 

I lost to a mustang once

He was doing some testing before Fun Ford Weekend, I think he runs Pro 5.0. or Mod motor.

He was running high 8's and low 9's all night.

 

I also agree that 98' was the best year having owned one mine was yellow and slightly modded, and when my truck was stock i was beating slightly modded cobras but from a roll they are a little tougher especially the new ones but i do think a 01 cobra could take a BONE stock L from a roll not sure from stop though
