Just finished watching Speedvision. I have to say this, but I'm sick and tired of seeing foreign car makers producing high horsepower and Ford falling flat on their face. 180 HP from 1.8 liters. Or 220 from 3.0 liters. Don't get me wrong, because you can see from my sig, I don't own any foreign cars. I'm just ready for Ford to make some serious HP. Let the flaming begin!!!!!!

 

Ford has some nicely powered 4cly that they run overseas. We just cant see them here in the states!! It sucks. Id pay 25K for a Focus 200R, thats a bas A$$ little ride!!

 

got to give it up for dodge and their new neon srt, thats the first real shot at some american four banger power besides the svt focus ( my only problem with the svt focus is even though its a good engine, i feel it should come with more power, even though its easy to get after you buy it)

What, 380 isn't enough for you? Get a chip 'n pulley. Seriously, I know what you are saying. What I find sad is Ford chooses not to market a sports car to compete with the Z06 and Viper GTS. Now if they choose to mass produce the new GT40 I guess I will have to eat my words, gladly, but dollars to donuts it will never see a production line.

 

I forget what magazine it was in, but they put the Ford Focus 200R against a z06, I'll try and fidn the article, aside from 1/4 mile, the focus basically held it's own with the z06, in some categories it even outhandled the z06. I know I'll get bashed for this, but once I find the article you guys can check it out

 

you're talking about the turbocharged, 304HP, FR2000 Focus, which is a concept car valued at around $200,000. That's definitely not an apples to apples comparison. I know which one you're talking about, but dont ever expect that to be built. Definitely not a sleeper either..........has more aerokit stuff than most ricers! Doesn't even look like a Focus anymore.
