Unhappy Dishonest L owners???

This is sort of a sad thread.....just though I'd post it. There was an attempted robbery last night at a Barns and Noble book store in Ventura, Cali. The robber came out of the store, and was met by police officers, in the end, the robber was shot and killed in or near his 01' Lightning.

pretty sad...

On a more positive note...I found this out due to a co-worker who (for I have NO idea why) thought that this COULD HAVE been me, or could have been my L, so he waited for me this morning at the front gate of work, just to make sure I was ok.

p.s. Flame me fore thinking this, but if it WAS a Lightning that the robber was driving, then that means there's an L in an impound lot waiting to be sold for real cheap.... Hmmmm.... J15BIG, you should jump on this for a new motor

Man that sucks

I just hope the Lightning didn't get shot, and when they towed it away they didn't scratch the bumper.

that is not always the case though.

i have a friend who was arrested last saturday night.
here in collierville most of the cops are @$$holes. however there are a few good ones. one my baseball coach and the other Brian Tichenor, who i just recently got to know, at a gas station. he came up to look at my truck.

anyway back the the story.

my friends 18 and his 23 year old brother were out on their land shooting their shotguns.
as they pulled out of "their" land a cop flew up behind them.

they saw the car but could not tell if it was a cop or not.
well they kept driving and pulled up in their driveway, their house sits kinda far off the road.

well the car pulls in behind them and does not turn the lights onl

they both jumped out and took off running . the cop caught up with the 23 year old and stuck his gun to his head. he then took his fist, knocked the gun out of his hand and and punched the cop in between his eyes.

he had called for backup and they live about 1500 ft from the police station so the cops pulled up just as this all happend. 4 cops jumped on him and took him down. he stared doing pushups and counting with the cops on his back.

well he's in jail right now. i think there is something up though with a cop using unecessarry force. they had done nothing to have the cop follow them or pull them over for that matter.

if they end up putting it in the newspaper i will post pics of it.

What's sad about it? A robber with a gun was shot. (no problem with me). His sperm has been taken out of "production" (no problem with me). A Lightning may be purchased at a good price (no problem with me).

The only bad part the good people left behind that have to live with the loss and the cop who has to deal with what the shooting. And for those reasons, I'll say a prayer.

LMAO. he must have made them a sign, they refused to pay, so he went himself instead of calling the repo man?
that is terrible.

Question

Where did you get this info, Marcus? There was nothing about it in my morning paper, and I couldn't find anything in the on-line editions of the Times or the Star about it. I recall seeing on the tv news last night about some guy who stole a truck, and when the cops tried to stop him he came out shooting. The cops shot back, and then the swat team was called in. They later found him dead in the truck; apparently the first cop did not miss. Don't recall where this took place, but sure don't think it was in my cozy little hamlet. Jay Lincoln and I will be lunching at Hudson's tomorrow, across the street from Barnes and Noble. I'll check for bullet marks.
