Lets say someone has chip filter & #4 pulley. What pressure range should they try in the tires, & more importantly what rpm on launch should thay be starting at??

Since evrybody in here is busy yapping about useless crap, I will answer your question!!

When I race I run my streets at 16-17psi and I launched at around 900-1000rpm.

Give that a try!!!

 

JL told me to run at 18psi-hot. I leave at about 1,000 rpm too.

No matter the mods, it seems that 18psi hot-warm is what these trucks like. Though when you start to make alot of power, they are still going to spin off the line. When we set our current best it was with a 1.68 60' and you could hear it spin hard still...

 

I make my first run at 20 psi, then lower it to 20 before the next run and lower it to 20 again and then leave it alone. When brackets start its right at 18 which is the best pressure I've found. I launch at 1000-1200 and I have a chip, 355 gears (until next week) and a 4 lb pulley.

I have used 18psi, but I think I staged to hard, I was up in the 1500rpm range. I dont think I got a good flash on the convertor. I am going to try 1000rpm this weekend, ill let you know how it goes!!
