front end lowering

Tried to search but didn't find what I needed. AIM says that their 2 inch drop springs will drop the lightning two inches because we have a the same front springs as a stock f-150. Is this true and what else besides spring is needed for the drop? Will the stock shocks work? Thanks Scott

Wrong.... Go with the BellTech 3" springs. They're much better quality and you get the full 2" drop.

I still use my AIM shackles to block my wheels so the truck doesn't roll...

You'll need cam adjusters from NAPA for the allignment.
Stock shocks are fine. Replace them only if you want to.

As Tampa said,

WRONG, Lightnings have 1in drop springs from the factory!! F150's do not!! Go with the Bell Tech 3in springs to get a true 2in drop!! Or use a 2in A-Arm!!

2" A-Arms also provide only a 1" drop on a LIghtning. I know because I put them on my truck.

What drop do the Belltech 1" springs actually give you? And do they require a camber kit?

thanks

If they are for a regular F-150 you will get nothing.

Thumbs down AIM 2 inch drop springs

STOTTODOG

Don`t waste your time and money on AIM springs there junk. A friend of mine got a set of springs from AIM for the front of his truck, there made out of thiner material than the stock springs, they bottom out real easy and there not even powder coated or painted when you get them.

Hope this helps.

Larry.

SVTRobG makes a good point...

I guess this concludes that what is offered for front drop should minus 1in for lightnings. I guess it is all based on regular F150's!!

I think rear drops are pretty close to advertised drops!!

I think that ICU is right on about the rear. I was going to take my stock shackles and put them on a regular F-150,but the difference only looked to be about 1/4". Not worth the trouble.

So do the Belltech/Ground Force 1" drop coils give a 1" drop on the front of a L? Or not quite 1"?

Showya,

Try this:Lightning Force Performance

You have to get 2" springs for the front to get a 1" drop.
