Magnaflow quieter than a Bassani???
Magnaflow quieter than a Bassani???
My brothers L has the full Bassani exhaust and I felt it was a bit too loud at cruising speed for my taste..Do any of you Magnaflow equiped L owners have that problem? And has anyone been in BOTH brand equipped trucks to compare. Any feedback is appreciated.
Mondo, talk to ****** about his set up.I know it sonds great from outside the truck. He can tell you more about the cruising.I have a Magnaflow 12468 and its not too loud.It peaks at about 2000 rpm.If you can spend a little more, you will probably be real interested in ******'s set up.He's a great guy and will share info.

Nosebleed--Thanks for the tip. I have no problem spending more money. My issue really involves the cruising noise more than anything else.I actually plan on the longtubes, high flow cats and possibly the 14568, but being that I haven't heard one, I wanted to make sure it would still be O.K.
I got the dual magnaflow 14416's glasspacks/mufflers. Boy this sounds sweeeeeeeeeet. Way better than i expected. I can barely hear the supercharger whine. All i got to say is wow.
If you want ANY sound at all, the 14568 IS NOT for you. I bought one, put it on, and took it right back off, and gave it away after one week. There is no sound to it. You might as well leave the original muffler on.
I have a Bassani Catback now and love it. It's perfect for me. At cruising speed it's perfect and at WOT it's perfect. Trust me, I'm 53 years old, don't like real loud noises, and I'm also picky as hell.
The polished tips equal BABolt's tips and the hardware is the best I've ever seen. If money is not an issue you can't go wrong!

I with Chikenears I have the Cat-Back To trust me awesome. Not worth it to touch the exhaust on these trucks if you dont want to make the sound louder. As some people have found that they lost some power. I for one felt no power lose with the Bassani. I say go for it makes the truck sound mean like it should have from the factory. Best part to are the tips they are 4inches stainless and make the stock ones look like tooth picks.

I have the Magnaflow 14468 (stainless) and it is just a little louder than stock at idle, but when you drop the hammer it sounds like the hounds of hell have been let loose!
Actually it's not THAT loud, but it does open up and sound really good! I love it!

I've had the Bassani cat-back for less than a week, and it sounds awesome! My system has mellowed a lot from when it was first installed.
At idle, you can actually hear that there is an exhaust, but you almost couldn't tell it from stock.
At cruising speeds (no- or low-load) after the truck has warmed-up, the Bassani is relatively quiet and mellow - you can still hear it, but it's not overwhelming.
Once you get on it, though, there's no doubt that this system wants to be heard!
I'm very happy with the Bassani cat-back. I was worried about the loudness, but this system seems just about perfect. Now to save up for the JDM long-tubes & cats...
