removing dash panel around streo/ac-what I should know

I'm pulling the dash pannel around the a/c stereo today. Will this pop off like the ones in my bronco or are they fastened with screws. Don't want to break it.

Pops right off
just watch the airbag wire, and disconnect it.

the way ive done it damage free numerous times is
turn one of the ac vents all the way and grab the panel that way.
not by the ac vent but by the panel.

trashguy, thats also the way i do it. It's pretty hard to pop off the other way. Just turn the ac vent and pull. BTW, if u want to get the radio out though i think u need a fourkey thing to pop into the holes.

If you are doing what I think you are doing, see if you can find a used trim panel. at a slvage yard. That way if you don't like it you can go back to stock.

nope

haha, not yet Don. Just put on my *****(finally!!) and white face plate. By the way, the guy that put on white face plates.....some guys said that they stuck it on over the black....... I gently peeled the black one off with minor damage and stuck the new white one on the a/c unit. Did anyone else do this? I like the white with the billet. Haven't made a decsion on the colored interior pieces yet though. I'm gonna get one out of a junk yard and have it done....put it on, if I don't like it, oh well.
