That has nothing to do with the fact that you were totally irresponsible in both your actions and your decision making capabilities. Further, I WOULD question your mom's judgement in giving so powerful a vehicle to an untested, untutored and unskilled child. Yes, you are CHILD .
i am none of the three you said.. i took the permit test and missed 2...i took at least 15 hours of driving classed....how do you know i am unskilled...i know i am a child, i never said i wasnt

When I was 15, I wanted a Lamborghini Countach so bad I could taste it. It was well within the grasp of my old man to buy one for one of his boys.
Do you know what I got instead? A 25 horsepower 1952 Ford 8N tractor. Even with that, I ran it into a ditch and wound up rebuilding the transmission from grinding it until I got the hang of a clutch, not to mention fixing the front end from said ditch running (Pittman arms are a b!tch and a half!).

My concern is that being so young, and so unskilled, that not only will you hurt yourself but that you'll hurt someone else when you exercise the same awe inspiring decision making process you did with your Lightning.
if you would pay attention and read the whole thread you would know that i do not drive the L often...and when i do my mom is in the car so i am not goin to be goin a 120 mph or doin anything stupid like that

No man, you betrayed something more than that. There's a respect that has to be given to machines like the Lightnings or Cobras or GT-40s or any other high performance ride. You betrayed the respect that that L deserved and, in consequence, it bit you severely. I don't blame it. I certainly wouldn't want some little punk riding my *** to death to look cool in front of his friends. That's what this all boils down to, isn't it? You didn't want to sound like a whiny little b!tch in front of your friend, who you were trying to impress, so you let him stomp on your ride that you KNEW had problems of an undefined nature.
no i wasnt trying to impress my friends...the guy driving to truck loves it as much if not more than me...duke748996 on the boards....he would never do anything to hurt her...it was just a fluke thing...we made one mistake...but we didnt even have her floored it was more like 3/4 throttle

Ask anyone who rides a high horsepower beast and they'll tell you that they believe in animism of their rides. That their rides have a "soul" to them. You just broke the heart of your ride and she dumped you.
i do believe it has a soul and i admit to breakin her heart but once i am finished with her im sure she will forgive me

You fix that L....and you treat it with respect. You hit the accelerator to the floor when you KNOW, for a fact, she's in the best running condition possible. Any time other than that, you care for her like she's the most important woman in your life...cause you never know...there might come a point one dark night when she IS the thing that saves your *** from being yet another statistic and grease spot on the blacktop.
she will be fixed and respected, this mistake will never be made again, i hope that after we both cool off we can forget this **** and still be online friends...as i said before i cant stand someone not liking me but when you disrespect my family, you corss the line.

Jebus just wrote a post about how he beleives every single performance car out there has its own soul,,,,,,,,, i think he just wrote that cause he feels an L really did die,,, don't worry jebus,, it will go to L heaven and have better fortune next time its reincarnated ( i really did like that post, didn't want to say anything casue it looked like it was between you and the svtgirl there) when you actually do care about what you own soo much i'm sure its easy to cring your teath reading about dead L's,

I do think you are missing out though,, how are winters in your town,,i had so much fun when i was 16 and had my first old beat up grand marquis,, it was an 84 i think,,, i mean,, you could do doughnuts in parking lots till you hit a pole, get out check the damage and do more cause you didn't care about the panelling that was half rusted out anyways ( and don't worry guys, we never endangered any lives in the process, just good fun in very much so abandonded parking lots) even though i would have killed for an L then, i dont think i'd give up that grand marquis either. I dont know why everyone here seems to get pissed at you cause you are 15, to me it looks like you are just trying to learn about your new truck from other people who care about them, and in lots of ways learning the hard way as well. I dont know, maybe it looks like you've always got something to prove on here, but all i can say is i don't blame you one bit,,, its tough to learn a thing from a board full of very nice knowledgible people when it seems someone has to curse your parents when they hear you have an L. I wouldn't doubt that one bit either,, no offense to Carlos, but back in the day i went to a Santana concert, and well,, even though he was sort of goofy looking, he sure had a lot of girls crawling all over the place,, wouldn't doubt it if there are a lot of people related to him that he doesn't know about I'll bet he's been around the block more times then my L gotta love the band though, just bringing up an interesting point thats probably true for a lot of band members out there, hmmmm, i wonder if i have any kids i dont know about
