I just did a search on yahoo for "ford uk" and got all sorts of links for owners clubs, places that service and dealers. I would check it! Good luck!

It most likely a coil pac.

Can't any UK Ford dealer work on it for you?

Don't know................

if this will be any help but I would at least disconnect the negative(assuming your L is 'negative' grounded?) battery cable. With the cable off, turn the head light switch 'on' for 5 minutes. Of course nothing will happen but this will 'drain' the computer quickly. Then turn the h/l switch off and reconnect the cable. Maybe the PCM is 'confused'? This will reset it.

Also, look for radiator coolant leaks above the right bank of cylinders--near the rear of the engine. Some have had a leak to ground out one or more of the coil packs.

Someone will have an answer, I'm sure. Btw, do you guys still walk through the woods with red coats and white breeches on?

Dan

the problem is most likely due to having your stearing wheal on the right side of your truck and driving on the left side of the road, thats got to kill a few cylinders right there

j/k,, good luck to you, i hope you find what you are looking for and you live to drive around the L with a smile on your face for years to come.

grgreves,
Are you running premium gas? If you are running premium, then it Sounds like a bad plug! I had one go on my 01 with 80 miles on the odo. Do a search on plugs. You will find all sorts of info on them here. If you have installation questions, just post.

By the way! It will not be a 1/2 hour job and make sure to torque them down to spec. Some here have had to have a new head installed because of loose plugs. When the plug blows out the head, it takes the threads out with it. Best of luck!

make sure you get a loud cat bak or muffler so that they can hear it and get all scared before you kick their bloody canutes out of the streat Sheap?? finally i think i've met someone as nuts as me. Way back in the day when i was in grade school i had a hunch our history teacher didn't read any of the papers we turned in,, so i wrote my world history paper on the history of sheap trade in great britten ( big time spoof ) wish i still had it, i could have used you as a source ( by the way,, got an A and proved my point )

Hope you get your misfire situation sorted soon. I get palipitations when I see how quickly I go through a full tank of 'petrol'. I couldn't imagine paying the equivalent of over $5.00US PER GALLON! That's got to hurt. Being from Coventry and still having lots of family there, I visit quite regularly. I'm wondering how the Lightning does on the narrow streets?
