Rarest car owned

Just ***** posting here. Just thought it would be interesting to see if the Lightning is the rarest you have owned or is there another.
Mine is the one shown below. I'm not gonna say what it is right now. All who grew up in the 60's and 70's I'm sure will recognize it. Younger people might not.
I will tell you that I owned this car for about 3 years. I drove it about 300 miles and probably towed it more than drove it due to it constantly breaking down... lol... It was an experience.

Hmmmmm...Let me think. I almost said "Rambler Scrambler" but I think that was built on an "American" platform. This appears to be a "Matador" body. Hmmmmmm...This will more memory than I can generate.

Looks like a Rebel. Funny, when I was 16 I had a 340 4bbl in a Chrysler Cordoba and I had a run in with a Rebel. We went from a 25 roll, and by the time I got to 100 he was about 10 cars behind me. I let off and kept watching him in my rear view mirror because he did not slow any, and I wanted to make sure if he tried to do a what we now call a ricer fly-by, that I was not going to let it happen. So I was waiting to gun my machine again, and was going to wait until he was by my rear quarter before I did.
He got about a car length behind and as I was watching so intently ready to drop the hammer, I see a huge flame shoot from under his engine bay. I started laughing my *** off. I seen him coast over to the side of the road, and I did a turn around to try to see if I could do something. As I approached I noticed oil in the road, and I am looking at the driver and he looked like he wanted to kill me, so I did not stop to help. I just beeped the horn. Poor Rebel...

Before the lightning my dad and I had a 1970 Super Coba Jet Mach 1 Mustang 428, shaker hood, 4spd, 3.91 gears, grabber blue. That was pretty rare, when we sold it they put it on the cover of Mustang trader.

My dad was a Jaguar, Bentley, and Rolls Royce mechanic for a long time, so we have had an array of old Jag's. I remember sitting around as a kid watching him rebuild them, brings a tear to the eye

I had a 1989 Turbo Trans Am-one of 1555 made. It ran 13.7x at 100 bone stock. I should be kicked for getting rid of it.

Just checking in. Hdminium you got it right on the money. It's a 1970 Rebel "The Machine". They made 3200 of them. It had a 390 cu.in. engine, 4 speed, 4:56 gears right from the factory. That was the factory paint job, very patriotic. The engine was a little more powerful than the 390 in the AMX's. It was the strongest engine AMC made. The car had a total of 32000 miles on it when I sold it and I'm sure all those miles were done in 1/4 mile stints.
Anyway, were off to the Detroit Auto show now. Cya later

Dave

1999 Pontiac TransAm 30th Annivsary Daytona 500 Pace Car Conv.
It was documented from Pontiac Historical Services and Daytona Intl Speedway as being 1 of 30 cars ever produced. I miss that car. I traded it in on my "L"!
