01/02 Pulley

I am sure this has been duscussed before but I cant find it in a search. Will an 01/02 pulley work on a 99/00 L?

If you are talking about the PSP designed cageless pulley, then an 01/02 style will not fit a 99-00, unless it has an 01/02 balancer on it. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the JDM style pulley will work on either.

If you are refering to the lower crank pulley someone said the 99/00's have different bolt patterns than the 01/02's. Probably should ask the vendors.

There is a 6# JL Pulley in the classifieds for a 01/02. I was wanting to upgrade from the 5# but I am not sure if it will fit my 99.

as Sal said, a 01 or 02 will not fit a 99 or 00 unless the truck has a balancer from a 01 or 02 motor. If you have a 99 or 00 with a 01 motor it will work, otherwise I doubt anyone has just changed a balancer...

I think you guys misunderstood(easy to do because he didn't supply enough info) the question.

11secL has a 5lb on now--the 6 lb should fit fine--may have to adjust the trans coolant lines down a tad? Hop I 'understood' him correcectly ?
