what do yall think about the dodge srt-10? [merged]
Thread from hell
Until I actually see the truck, I'm betting it'll never pan out.
Has anyone seen the 500hp Pt Cruiser? I saw it in a Mopar mag when I was browsing for the new Truckin' issue. Of coarse the same Viper V10 was installed, and they chopped the rear of it so it looks like a Pt pick-up Cruiser. WTF? Are Viper sales down? Looks like they're (Dodge) is trying too hard. Maybe making up for possible downed Viper sales by throwing the engine into the first thing they see. What's next?
Maybe Ford should retalliate by throwing around that new soon-to-come 500hp GT40 engine into some worthy vehicles of theirs. hmmmmmm.

I think it's kind of interesting!
That Dodge paid attention to how most of us were styling our L's and styled their truck after it.
Just Bring It! I don't think I could afford to try and trade the L in anyways, too many mods, so unless Dodge is selling that things for customized Lightnings I'm out.

The only vehicle that has had a viper engine in it besides the Viper itself thus far, and been deemed a production vehicle is the Dodge Ram SRT-10. The PT-cruiser was a concept vehicle that would never come close to passing Emissions Testing. Also, it would not pass safety regulations. The Dodge Ram-VTS was a Viper powered 94-01 style and was never produced because the engine would go through the firewall in severe crash tests. The SRT-10 is going to be made. Its just a matter of exactly how close to the concept it will be.
"Doesnt the cab, the way it looks, look just like an L?"

The only comparison that can be made here is that they are both regular cabs. I saw on the main SRT-10 thread where some of the lightning owners said it was ugly. The ones that are opened minded said it looked great, But to say it looks like a lightning is pretty hilarious.
In any case, let the games begin coming fall 02
