back in the saddle
back in the saddle
Had to let my 99 L go about a year and a half ago but just picked up a 01 with three thousand miles on. I hope to grow old with this one.
A question. I have a feeling this L might have been registered tn Canada. Some info in the glove box leads me to think so. Is there any diference in the specifications on the Canadian units. Do the US Ls have DRL's. The dealer picked this truck up at an auction so I don"t know its history/ Thanks in advance.

Yes, Canadian L's have DRL's. What does the speedo look like? Km/h on the outside ring? Beyond that I'm not certain about any other Canadian clues. Perhaps some French on the airbag warning labels on the visors?
thanks whato4. the speedo was normal us but that could have been changed. so could the odo for that matter now that I think aboutit. Nothing on Oasis. Does anyone have any idea how I can check on the history of the vehicle. Are there any specification, performance differences on the canada versions?? And lastly, My SVT suppliment manual was an older version without the updated specs ie it listed 360 HP. Did they not update those manuels?
Thanks again anyone.
Thanks again anyone.
Try carfax.com to check history. The 2001 manuals were not updated until recently, I think I got mine in November with the build certificate. All the 01's were built at the Oakville Ontario plant so the only noticeable differences should be speedometer in km/hr and full time daylight headlights.
