Hi guys, just registered but have been a lurker for quite some time but have a question for you.

i have a 01 lightning with 7200mls on it and mod list as reads below, and i have a pretty lumpy idle and a slight ticking noise coming from the driver side in the wheel well now. not as bad i dont think as bmwbig6's but annoying and irking none the less, now just today i got my ngk's put in and gapped down to .035 to fix the idle problem, but to no avail although it was a good thing to do anyway considering i had burnt one of the plugs pretty good. i dont know what to do now, it sounds like it might be a problem similar to bmwbig6's but has anyone had the same problem running a bassani system?
I dont know if its just the cold weather we are having(under 50 deg.) causing it to run lean with the chip i have or what, and it sounds and feels rough when i get on it pretty good (not very confidence inspiring) and at higher speeds at high rpm i think im getting some detonation all in all this is very frustrating any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated! I wonder some times why i just cant be happy with the way the truck is stock. Damn me, Damn me to HELL

It sounds like you need to call JL about it. It might need a reburn. What fuel are you using?

i am running only mobil premium or texaco premium, and about the chip, i ordered it through my speed shop and they bought it directly from diablo they said it was the same basic street program supposedly that JL uses. and my shop told me diablo said it was burned for the 4# pully but im kind of leery now if jl could chime in im kind of curious... almost worried

This is how ALL of my chips with my (Programs) will look like. We have scan tools, N.G.S., Wide Band A/F monitors ect. here @ the shop and this is how i know where to and NOT to make changes for different applications. thats why their my JL Programs. ive spent countless Hrs. and $ To produce my JL files.. ill give you a call soon thanks for offering to help! But to answer your question my chip does look like that except w/o the JL ribbon, mine had a diablo sport ribbon on it and came in a diablo sport tube im guessing i might have been misinformed

 

Has anybody else looked at his mods and thought about it.

4lb lower pulley with a JL program chip. Come guys we all know that JL tunes these trucks to the limit and I really don't think he should be running tr5's! You need to switch to the TR6's atleast and maybe even run the denso's also.

cmon rtkilla dont tell me that i need the tr6's NOW i just spent a 100 bones labor to get my plugs changed and i aint gonna change them again right now. and the densos arent really in my budget at the moment. what are the differences between the tr5 and tr6 plug, a reputable shop said the tr5 would be good for my app.
