Unhappy Hey, I Need A Pulley..any Suggestions??

Hey guys,

My truck has gotten slower and didn't notice this until the Magnaflow install. I don't know if it's the muffler or whether it's just because the truck has got some age on it (40,000 miles). The power still there but when in WOT, it wants to kick in but it seems like something is holding it back at first. I'm considering putting the factory muffler back on because maybe it flows a lot better being it's SVT tuned. Well I see you guys doing mods and I have a superchip but they burned a bad program on it so its not in right now..I was thinking maybe the supercharger pulley but don't know much about it. From what i understand it increases boost? When i installed a pulley on my 89 5.0, it tampered with my voltage really bad, will this do the same thing? What noticable HP gain will I get with it . Where is the best place and brand to purchase it from. I'm hoping the pulley, my air raid open filter and a reburned flip chip program will make up for the loss in Torque and horses. Also how much does the pulley cost? i'm assumming its the pulley 4#?

Thanks..

Here you go...

http://www.powersurgeperformance.net...+%2899%2D01%29

We have 2, 4 and 6 lb pulleys. The 4 and 6 comes with a new belt. Either the 2 or 4 sounds like what you need. Keep in mind you'll need a chip reburn. If you're not happy with your current chip, we can supply you with one of our custom tuned PSP chips.

These pulleys increase boost. The pulleys you had on your 5.0 were underdrive pulleys, that spun the engine accessories slower. This is not the same thing, it won't affect your charging.

Whens the last time you changed your fuel filter? Whens the last time you changed your plugs? Put in tr6s, mine are gapped at 44 and add the new JDM 4 LB Pulley. Mine runs like a scalded rabbit and I have 55k on my truck. How fast does a scalded rabbit run? .2 quicker than one with a 2 lb pulley!

Oh Yeah,Almost forgot.I run the magnaflo and have no problems. There didnt seem to be any increase of power
but no decrease either.Just sounds better. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the install wasnt that good.Pipe not bent
correctly?Or to sharp of bends????

Ok guys

One thing i'm not clear on is what is the breakdown on each LB pulley? between the 2# , 3#, 4# pulleys is one of the 3 pushing it a little on the extreme side for abusing the motor? Mines a daily driver and don't plan on taking it to a track or anything. Also where will i notice the HP/TRQ more on top end or low end?

And thanks guys for the valuable info on the pulley!
I will be ordering one really soon..

Hey, mine is a daily driver with 54K miles. The two was good, but the new JDM 4 is greattttttttttttttt. Its really fun to drive on the street. Its slick to run the truck up on boost only never dropping down into gear. Its now really powerful without downshifting. Fun to drive. Don't waste your time with a 2 or 3. I don't know about a 6.
