I am looking for a black or silver 99 L in Texas... i dont trust buying a car over the internet (seems like someone would only put it on ebay if they couldnt sell it otherwise) and where I live in hicksville west texas the dealers dont stock high performance vehicles

so whats a good dealer in DFW or Austin/S.A. area with a 99 Lightning in stock, or who usually has pre-owned lightnings in stock ?

or if anyone is selling theirs in those areas I could go for that too.

I don't know any dealers w/ any in stock. You might want to pick up an autotrader or go to autotrader.com & check out different lightnings for sale around the state.

 

the problem with autotrader.com is that I can't figure out how to seperate regular F150's from Lightnings, so you have to go through 20 pages of F150's to find a Lightning...

 

I havent bought a L from them but I know bankston ford in Frisco has a couple

Jim Bass Ford in San Angelo had one a few days ago.
It might still be there.

 

Call Dan Munro at Peyton Wright Ford in Grapevine, he works for an Autonation store and has access to seven very large Ford stores. I know that he can draw new vehicles from these and I think that he can get used ones also. His number is 817-251-2488. Make sure that you speak with him, he is a close friend of a long time and just recently sold me my 2001 Supercrew. He actually got my truck from Bankston in Frisco, mentioned previously in the post.

hey, thanks for the tip on jim bass, I live in San Angelo... any San Angelo Lightning owners on this board ? I'll stop by Jim Bass and check it out.. although I can't nearly afford a 2002, I am looking for a 99 really but I haven't even gotten to check out a lightning up close before

I bought my 99 from an ad in the Dallas Morning News. I watched the prices for about a month before chasing one down.

Just type "lightning" in their online classifieds, works every time.

They have a Silver 2000 up there right now... Not sure about the miles, but it looked like it was in pretty good shape. I think they were asking around 23k... You may look in the classified on this site aswell... There used to be several L's for sale on here in Texas.

 

They have had that one up there for a while. I think they were asking way too much in the beginning. They have a brand new silver one on the show room floor and at least 3 red ones outside. That was all that I saw, but I was in and out very quickly last Sunday.
