Stupid question, need quick answer

I am installing a newly burnt chip. I know I have done this 100x's before, but I am having a brain fart. Does the side of the pcm with the X face towards the driver or the passenger side? I know this is a very stupid question, but we have been drinking "alittle" and are not too up to par right now. Sorry!

The plug will only go in one direction so you can't do it backwards.Match the plugs together before you put it though the firewall. That will tell you which side in.

So I've heard.......

Though I have done it thousands of times my self, I cant remeber either. Just go with what was stated befor: See which way the connector goes in, and make sure the PCM sits they way it should for the connector to go in.

The bolt heads that hold the cover on the module face out toward the driver.

If you haven't figured it out by now......Are you talking about the chip itself or the whole box. If its the box look in the part you plug in and in small writing it says this side up. Hope that helps if your not already done.
