Bassani gone wrong

hmmm,, bassani seems to have shipped me 3-1/4 inch stainless spacers instead of 2-1/2 inchers,,, also the bolt pattern on the double hanger which bolts to the cross member does not match the pattern on the cross member, this has really pissed me off tonight as it is late, does bassani hire monkeys to put the crap in the boxes for them, i'm sure i'll be happy once its in, but damn it, send me the right ****,, already cut the spacers down to size with a pipe cutter, and i'm tempted to drill another hole in the hanger bracket, but i'm not sure which hole is in the wrong place, how much of the bracket sticks out after the last hole, or does this even matter and i could drill a hole as long as it lines up properly,,,, regardless i'm pissed!!!!!!!!!! close to $700 should give you the right stuff, its a load of crap that i have to cut and drill extra holes cause some packaging guy with bassani sucks his own a$$ for a living!!!

Dude, tomorow is another day. Clear head, cup of coffee and it'll all fit. If they didn't send you the right hangers and stuff, damn right you have the right to be pissed off.

i just measured the bolt patterns,,,, 6 stock cross member bolt to bolt,,,,,,,, 5-1/2 on the freakin hanger,,, this after i'm already still pissed the the freakin spacers are the wrong length and i had to cut them with a pipe cutter,, i hate pipe cutters!!!!

now i need to go look all around to try and find a 3/8 drill bit so maybe i don't have to wait to get the right ****.

i have never in my life been more possitive that both the double hanger and the spacers were both the wrong size, it just pisses me off sooo much, i deal with this stuff all the time running my stores every day while i'm at work, so many places just send you the wrong ****, home has always been my break. I do hate to bad mouth the product cause it does seem to be a great product and actually very easy instalation if i had the right stuff.

its not really the vendors that i blaim,, to my knowledge i don't think they are the ones that package the bassani, i do hope to get some help from the vendor though, all done now after drilling a hole through the hanger bracket, and cutting both spacers down to size later i love my new drill

Bassani does sound truly great, its a little louder then what i expected, but after hearing it, trust me thats a good thing definately not as loud as when i took the truck for a joy ride without the muffler :P i'll check bassani at wot tomorrow, hopefully i'll be just as impressed, yet even more pissed off at the monkey who stuck the wrong crap in my box !!!!

I will check underneath again in a few weeks to see how its holding up, or if anything is leaking, or if welds need to be made,

What I don't understand is why my kit came with 2 small (2cm) holes in the bottom side of the tips, about an inch in from the opening. Is that for sound, or a mistake?

Angry Yes they do have monkeys packing their packages!

I got the wrong hardware with my Bassani cat-back also. Two sets of hanger hardware and no sets of flange hardware! I had to go out in the middle of the installation and spend $10 on stainless steel nuts and bolts to finish the job.

Dude, had nothin' but good results with Bassani, in fact exceptional quality and fit! I made it a practice to check with Bassani directly just to make sure your Vendor is ordering the right parts. Try calling Rebecca @ 1-714-630-1821 (Bassani). I know how ya feel, dude. Hope it works out........

Could the holes be for dripping condensation? I have them too and that's all I can figure they are for. I don't see how they could affect sound, but I've been wrong before.

I learned one thing from this thread. Be very careful what you reccommend to others. WhiteToast had problems, I had none. I was hoping his experience would be a pleasure like mine was.

Such goes life!:o

When installing my Bassani kit, i remember an issue with the hangars and initially thought they wrong as well. It took a few minutes to figure out that everything was cool and was just looking at the assembly wrong....

Same here. I had the double hanger installed backwards and finally realized that it went the other way. That's the only problem I had with mine.

I just can't beleive that is possible to get the wrong parts like i did,, i'm glad i found ways around it and i was able to install yesterday, it just took about 4 hours,,, ( lots of it spent just messing around cause i was so pissed at the double hanger and spacer) but it should have only taken maybe an hour an a half, took no time at all to get the stock exhaust out, all you really have to do is wiggle it, everything came out almost perfect really,,, tempted to polish it and sell it dont think anyone would buy a used exhaust though, still only 2000 or so miles on it though.

well, about to giver her the first wot test run,, i'll let you know how it goes....
