Truck-Traks now available for Hotchkis and Roush Suspensions

Truck-Traks are now adaptable Hotchkis and Roush lowered trucks. Typically, lowered trucks use a thinner, dearched leaf spring in the rear. This not only upsets the u-bolt length, but also places the snubber firmly up against the spring.

I now have adaptors which allow you to space the Truck-Traks further from the spring, and allows you to use the stock u-bolts. Certain applications may require a shorter snubber (available also), or you can just cut the stock one down as necessary to accomodate the weight of the truck.

I also have plenty of snubber spacer kits in stock for those of you who have been patiently waiting.

If you have any questions, email me, or contact Sal at PSP.

Jay:

I'm getting the L ready for track reopening on the 26th. It's a 'slippery' track. I run with M/T 26x11.5x16" tires, stock trans. & t/converter, no spare, hitch, or tail gate on. It should be putting out more power than last year because of the 5lb vs. 3lb pulley that I'm now running.

I have 'about' 1"(what do you use to measure this clearance?) of space between the snubbers and the springs. This is with one spacer added. I have one more to use if I needed it. What have you found to be the optimum clearance for the above situation? I realize you haven't used the same combination but just want your thoughtful opinion.

Thanks,

Dan

Dan, generally, the better the track, the more clearance you can use between the snubber and the spring. When the season starts, the track will be some what green, and might be slippery. I'd start at the 1" clearance, and as traction gets better, increase it slightly, until your 60' times begin to fall off.

I had an interesting first day last Sat. The truck spun wildly on my first run, and hooked a little better on the second. On the third run, it spun for a a couple of feet, then hooked well.

The only thing that I can figure, is that the rubber the short wheelbase cars were putting down didn't reach 10' back. The Lightnings have alonger wheelbase that the Mustang's, Camaro's and imports, thatmake um a majority of the cars running.
