I just got my ground force 1/2 drop today and am in the process of installing the first shackele. I got the top bolt in but i am having trouble with the second. I can get the bolt to go in hald way, but when i try to make it go all the way through, the wholes dont line up. I cant get the freaking things to line up. I have tried everything. Any suggestions. I have tried putting something smaller through and circling it around to see if it will line up but no. someone please help. This is rediculious. Its been like 2 hours since i started and havent even finished the first shackle!!!


i am about ready to remove my hitch just so i can get to the other side of the damn shackle

 

put a long peice of something (metal, wood) between the bed and the top of the shackle and pull down.

it should line up, it took me 4 hours to do my shackles because i'm a half retard hahaha

Its all about the leverage baby

 

Use your floor jack, place it under the rear and jack it up or down depending on which way you need the spring to move. I did the shackle install and it only took 30 minutes to do both sides. Good luck...
