I painted mine red (but my truck is red). It definitely gets a lot of looks. As for the black, I would paint them either red, a bright blue, or even yellow. Any of these colours would really set the wheels off. Just my opinion though. Good luck!
Did you guys just use heat resistant paint from the local parts store (Pep Boys, Auto Zone). I just want to paint mine black......I think it will look sharp with chrome wheels.

I cleaned the calipers with brake cleaner and then used Rust-Oleum Sunrise Red and applied it with a spong paint brush.

Stan,
While you are on here, I got a quick question for you. I saw where someone posted that they put on your rotors and he had them on just the opposite as I do. I think if that is true and I have mine on backwards that someone mislabeled the boxes. I made sure to put them on as the boxes were labeled. I was always wondering about that as they look like they would be more functional the other way. Tell me that I don't have to take them off and switch them? I have had them on for about 2500 miles or so.

How hard is it to remove the calipers? Can this be done without having to mess with the brake lines and re-bleed them? I never really looked at them close up. I also want to get them powder coated. I'm thinking some kind of blue. Not sure yet.
I left mine on while I painted them. I just taped some news paper all around the wheel well, rubber parts and anything else I didn't want paint to get on. Then I used some of that 1500 degree high heat spray paint from Pep Boys. Would rather have Spikes version though. Looks much easier to keep clean.
