Who has a Double Din Radio in their L??

I saw a few of you have a DD radio in your L. I want this as well. I dont want a kit to fill the space around the radio. Did anyone on here do the install themselves? I usually do mine. Im sure there is allittle modification that has to be done. Anyone got any tips?

Here is a pic of my double din stero. I didn't install it my self though, alot of shops didn't have the time or resources to install it and it ended up costing me a few extra $$$ than I expected. But well worth it. It adds alot of life to the int.

Well, thats about the best double DIN unit around. Thats why you dont see many, there aren't many quality double D's. Many get a sigle and add an equalizer, or pop up screen ect... Just a thought.

husker, what brand/model number is that DD unit. Right now i have the kenwood KVT-910DVD. But in my moms new car it has the built in screen and really like that instead of the flipout screen.

There is one lightning owner that does have the double-din Eclipse Fujitsuten radio installed... I don't know if his pictures are still online though.

I've had the single din (fold-out) version (7002) for over 2.5 years now--still rocks with the MTX 5-channel amp (800 watts). I put a 10" Eclipse metal sub behind each seat for some kick. Had them put in custom boxes.

I never did get any video or gps stuff added on. I mainly wanted the fold-out so I could 'put it away' when I park in public. Folded in it doesn't draw any more attention than necessary.
