Question Need Purchasing Advice, 2001 or 2002

I have found a new left over 2001 L in white (I like white) that I can get at x-plan price and low interest financing. 0.9 for 48, 3.9 for 60. What are your opinions about saving a couple grand in financing as opposed to buying a new 2002 also at x-plan (if I can find a dealer here in CA that will honor it). Should I hammer the dealer a little more on the price since we are already into 2002? Is there any room to negotiate below x-plan? Thanks for any advice.

Not much room to negotiate. You might be able to get them down to A-plan prices (Ford employee price). I've never heard of anyone getting lower than that. On a 2001, I believe it was less than $1k in difference.

I bought a 2001 White one, before the 2002's hit the ground. Also, got in on the cheap financing. Also, talked the dealer down, not to X-plan, but close. If you really like white, by the 2001, there are no whites for 2002 and all you have to spend is around 100 bucks to get the only difference that I know of between the years. The keypad modification.

Cool

You better cash in on the 0.9 APR while you can, cus' my dealer said no special APR for L's!!! I don't think they'll go much past X-plan price if any at all cus' of the amount of L buyers searching the market for a RIDE!!!
Hey I would get an '02 if the price is about the same cus' the '01 is a year old and you haven't driven it yet!!!
