Here's a tip.
On mine the passenger side of the old muffler was easy to get off.
The drivers side was a bitch. I tried beating it off and heating it off, didn't budge.
Cut the drivers side off close to the muffler with a hacksaw. Be careful not to cut the exaust pipe from the manifolds.
Once this is cut the other side came off real easy.
You'll end up with a small piece of the muffler pipe that needs to be worked off the pipe coming from the manifolds. It is alot easier this way cause you can twist it and have easier access.
These are pretty crappy instructions, but will save time and frustration!

Thanks for the tips. I've heard lots of people reccomend some welding to make sure its fastened properly, has anyone on here had problems with this besides bob thompkins,,??
Seems like both of you are newer members here, or just got a new screan name, regardless, its always good to get some help before jumping in.
I'll make sure i get some good pics once i have it in, or maybe even pics of the install as i go to help out others looking for a general idea of how the install goes.
oh yeah chickenears,,, it was some of your posts which got me hooked on the bassani, for hte longest time wasn't sure which way to go, but you seemed so happy that i just had to spend $700 just so my exhaust could sound and look better

If you have access to a torch, heat the old muffler pipes and wiggle them off, no problem.
I tack welded mine after reading the Bob Thompkins post and have had no problems. I might as well have just welded them solid, since they are NEVER coming off. I LOVE them. That's just my opinion but I do reccommend that you tack weld them.
Let me know what you think about the sound, quality, and installation please. It was a pleasure for me.

The only thing I dont like about the kit, is that if you have your trucked dropped by the front hangers on the rear you loose one of Bassani's hang spots. That made me only have 2 hangers instead of 3. I need to take it and have a shop weld up a bracket for my 3rd one. Other than that its a great kit!!!
