Red Viper Vs. Silver L

I have a Silver 01 L with AirFilter ,4 way chip ,#3 pulley and 100 shot.
Me and a friend were coming back into Tampa from a bike show. We were playing around with the new nos system we installed just yesterday. As were coming into Tampa we get a runner. Mustang Cobra totally tricked out with nos. We stood side by side at 60 mph. He made a valent effort. As were racing on 275 south in Tampa a Viper rt/10 pulls up.
We start dodging in and out of traffic. I'm on this Vipers ***. He can't shake me. As we approach the Howard Franklin bridge I pull up next to him and confirm the challenge. We'll start at 60 mph, go on three. As he down shifts I floor it, for a cool sec we're side by side. I feel the supercharger and the nos go into overdrive.........
See-ya later, Bye!!! Had him by three car lengths in a matter of seconds..as we werer passing 130mph

I dont know my nos time but at the 1/8 with out the nos I run 8.2-8.3 at 86 mph on f1's

Next I am all about tracktion.

what rims do I need and what slicks size to get? Any info would help

Hope your luck holds out in traffic. If you ever come to Virginia e-mail me, that way I'll know to stay off the roads.

Good Kill.

No flame, but using NOS on the street is very stupid, especially with a vehicle with such power already! You can easily kill yourself or someone else, or even worse, your Lightning.

Save the "Fast and Furious" $#!t for the track!

Power? My ZX-9 has power. My buddy did good. The bridge is 5 lanes each way. We could not pass this one up,I build this car just to be a viper Killer. And there it was, I am sure you can understand.
If not, can not make everybody happy.

Congraduations on the kill, but it was a stupid one. Nitrous is not for use on the street, and especially when pushing the motor to extremities (is that a word?). You could have easally floated a valve, or worse yet throw a rod out the side of the back into the tire, causeing the tire to explode at 130+*. But really, I wouldn't do that again...

*slightly over exsaturated (sp?) to prove point.

Great kill! I see nothing wrong w/ running NOS on the street. I've done it w/ everything that I own and haven't had a incident yet. A friend of mine pulled out his tubbed out vega from his garage to make sure the carb was adjusted right. He nailed it, disbeaded the right tire, flipped three times, and totalled the vega. Point is, you can get just as hurt going 0-60 as you can going 130.

A lot of people cruise the Howard Franklin at 90-100mph. I even get past sometimes.

I think it was "Americas stupidest criminals" or "polices chases" or something like that where this fox body mustang going across the Howard Franklyn and went flying around a cop car at 120. He didn't even notice the cop and kept going! That is until he saw the red and blue lights. Got his as$ arrested too. Tird! Anyone see this episode?

MBROWN--Nitrous is for the track, so are tubbed out Vega's with 1000 hp!!!

My high speed mods include caltrops, ejecting flat stips, radio jammers, run-flat rims, coaxial chain gun and a guided stinger-missle rack in the rear for those pesky cops that just don't get the idea.

we have a road like that around here.

Nonconah xpressway is used by just about everyone.

there are no places for cops to sit and it is wide open so you could see one if they were out shooting radar.

ive been doing 95 before, speedlimit is 65, and have had cars fly by me honking for being in their way.

only one time did i almost get pulled over.

the only place they can sit is by the Bill Heard Dealer becasue of a hill.

well one day i came over the hill needle past 100. i was late for a doctor appointment.

well i flew past 2 cops in the median.
there were 6 semi trucks that i had just passed as well.

i though about slowing down and stopping for about 1 sec or less then i held it to the floor. i got on the shoulder passing cars and got of the ramp at the byhalia road exit.

passing cars in the grass and on the shoulder.
turned right and made the 1.5 mile trip to mississippi, called one of my friends while i was doing this to.

then i had to drive 40 miles out of my way to go the back way into the state.

i hope no cops around here that know me reads this.
anyway i have not gone over the speedlimit since this happened.

they do have this funny thing though where they said on the news "people are acting like this is the indy 500 so we are treating it like that"

they place out cops at certain intervals to lead traffic at the 65 MPH speed limit and if anyone paces the "PACE CAR" they get a ticket.

the funny thing is when the cop gets off at their appropriate exit the line of traffic just takes off.

its a great sight to see.
