Unhappy Put my truck on E-Bay

Any body ever sell a car/truck on e-bay. Hate to try and sell it. My wife is pregnet and my boss is b!tching about the cost of health insurance he is paying for me. I might be looking for another job. So I will try and sell the L. If it does not sell I will keep it and my job.
Check it out item # 600393807
Set the reserve @ $23,200
Jeff

Thanks for the link. My wife says if it sells I can get a new one when she is done with college. The lightnings are not selling very good on e-bay. I do not think my L will sell.

It's especially going to be hard to sell one with a custom paint job like that. Don't get me wrong, it does look good. Plus you posted pics of you hammering it at the drag strip. People are touchy about that too.
Good luck no matter.

What does it cost to put a car on Ebay? I thought about selling my 96 firebird on there.

Jeff, sorry to hear about your situation, best of luck. Very good looking truck. Here's what we can do, since there is a reserve we should all bid on it, and only increase bids by low ammount so maybe it'll get like 50 bids, and it will show up as a hot item under the list, and bring it to the front to get peoples attention Just a thought?

Also, are you selling the slicks with it?

I think the total was $45 bucks to list it on E-bay. My reserve is $23,200. The truck looks so much better then it does in the pics.
I raced it about 1 time a month. I do not have those rims and Et streets anymore. Have a nice set of 17" rims with Nitto's though. It made my wife happy to list it. If it does not sell I can keep it.

A little bit of wisdom to add here regarding Ebay:

I had my car on EBAY also, and guess what..........it hit the RESERVE. I was as happy as can be, because, like you, I sold it with all the mods on it, so I didn't have to take it apart. It hit $13,000, so the first thing I did after the guy emailed me a picture of a $13,000 cashier's check, I went and paid off my car ($7800) with my own cash. Well, guess what.............THE FU#&$R stiffed me!! Here I was with my car paid off, almost $8K in the hole, and with my car still in the driveway! Eventually, yes, I was able to strip it bare, and trade it in for $10K on the L, and sold all the aftemarket stuff on EBAY, so I pretty much got what I wanted for the vehicle as a whole.

Point of story.........BE VERY CAREFUL!! I don't know if you owe on it or not, but please do not make any decisions until you have actual GREEN in your hand.

Total fee for EBAY is roughly $25, but if you start adding special features to it, like highlighting, and feature titles, etc., it will go up a little bit. If you end up getting stiffed like me, you can get your money back after 30 days. They will credit it to your acct.

Be very strict on your deposit demands, and if the winner doesn't meet those rqmt's, leave negative feedback, and contact EBAY. You can relist it, and get your money back on the original posting.

You shouldn't have a problem hitting your reserve......STOCK L's are going for that much on there, so fear not.
