What should my first mods be...

I just bought an 2000 L and I was wondering what should my first mods be. I am looking to be making over 400HP and be able to hookup nicely aswell. What mods would you do and where can I get them from the cheapest/most dependable. Any info is much welcomed. If you have your own recipe for power, feel free to jot it down, basically I want to be able to take on some WS6s and vettes.

Go with a Filter/Ram Air/Chip/Lower Pulley/Shift Kit/Plugs. This should get you in the 12's and able to spank some WS6's & Vette's.

the first Mod I would get would be a chip

my tuner http://www.jdmengineeringinc.com/

PSP http://www.powersurgeperformance.net/

JL http://www.johnnylightningperf.com/

They all make great products, just remember price is allways the most important thing. Call each tuner, ask questions, and go with who you are most confortable

I think Don meant:

"price is NOT always the most important thing!"

. . . and I agree. =)

Which are the most reputable companies to pick up these parts from? I have heard good things about Johnny Lightning aswell as PSP and JDM, but who do you guys recommend.

They are all top notch products. I personally use all JL Products. I have seen all 3 lines of products first hand and they are all great. JL has been good to me as the other tuners have been good to their customers im sure.

Performance wise they are all pretty close. Sal(PSP) has had the fastest truck so far. Using a stregthened motor and NOS. 11.20 @ 118. JDM has the fastest truck with a Built motor and no NOS- 11.40 @ 118. JL- has the fastest truck with all bolt ons, no inside motor work. It is a customer of his. TOTALED 11.69 @ 116.

Its up to you buddy!!!

Do you live in California? There is another tuner that everyone seems to forget about.
