The latest Tool sounds very good in truck-The latest Slipknot sounds like chit. Korn and DMX are also very good recordings IMO
Is anyone listening to any good hard Techno ? I'd like to find some
which is not the dance type

To quote another fameous "alternative band" KMFDM:
I hate all music and especially rap
Sorry, but DMX DMZ or whatever is out. I cannot delve within such throes of purported ghetto-euphanisms.
But I agree, Lateralis and Aenma sound really good within the acostical confines of the cab, esp. with my new Infinity speakers.

Ok, I first head Slipknot and thought...wow, the is the biggest bunch of noise. Listened to it alot and loved the first album. I've seen them live like a half dozen times. Bought their new album.....not working second time around. Realized it is a bunch of noise. Tool rocks...(wearing my tool shirt now actually). WFNX is a good station and is based where I used to live so reception was always great. I'm more of an Waaf guy myself. The past two years I've been listening to more and more country....i'm starting to like it. Can't help it when the guys are work threaten to cut my hand off if I touch the radio...haha. Can't deal with rap either way, maybe a certain song will catch me once in a blue moon.

As far as techno the best Ive found are compilation CD's. Dj Taucher is pretty decent. I listen to Paul Oakenfold and White Zombie(Super sexy swingin Sounds) Prodigy is also awesome, but is an aquired taste.

Ok,if you want a "Tool" sound check out a group called "Clutch",awesome stuff. You want a nice rap/Techno mix pick up the "Blade Soundtrack". Thats a great album, especially the tracks 10-14. In there is a techno jam where the only lyrics are "STRUCK BY LIGHTNING". I'll do everyone a favor and NOT go on and on about music,if you want anymore opinions let me know and I'll post an email addy you can get a hold of me at.

Nothing sounds good in my truck, cause i still have the stock speakers in. BUT, System Of A Down is a sweet band. Their best song is Chop Suey. Tantric is a good band also. And dont forget about Nickelback.
Yeah CLUTCH. If the guitars & drums sound like Tool, then Clutch sounds like TOOL. That was my point, thanks for agreeing w/ me w/o knowing you were
Like I said "if you want a Tool SOUND" check out Clutch. Yeah the vocals aren't the same which is a plus, not a minus. Seriously who wants to listen to the SAME sound from two different bands? Seems silly to me.
