We need more stickies: IMPORTANT!
Site administrators, webmaster, and moderators:
I have been part of several forums in the past few years, and obviously, as my interested rose in the Lightning, I joined this, and several other F150/SVT/Lightning forums. Let me just say, that this is, TO ME, by far, the best forum on the web, BAR NONE!
But I have a suggestion on making it that much better:
Gentlemen, we need more STICKIES. I realize we have the FAQ section, and a search feature, but I think stickies are very valuable resources, that although server-space consuming, in the long run they'll actually save space by eliminating the need to post certain threads. Here are some ideas I have. Everyone, please share some ideas also to help the admin.'s:
-Collection of Exhaust Info (including sound clips, movies, etc.)
-Pulley information (2lb, 3lb, 4lb, etc, etc.; what do we need for each LEVEL)
-Air Intake sticky
-Transmission sticky
-Chip Sticky
-ROLL CALL
Hope this gets consideration; I don't want to feel like I do here at work (most ideas get shot down
)

Here is my $.02 on it...
While the STICKIES are a good idea (and more than just a little fun to say out loud, go ahead, try it
), they tend to clutter up the board when more than one or two are present. I've seen this done on many boards and I don't really like it.
I think that realistically, if someone is not going to take the time out to read an announcement that says "important" or "read this before posting" they are not going to read the STICKIES, regardless of how many there are.
The Lightning Forum is *by far* the busiest forum on this site. Because of this, topics tend to drop off of the first page within hours of them being posted. Based on my experience running these forums, if we remove even more real estate from the list of topics, I believe we will end up seeing MORE repeat posts, not fewer.
