Lowering Kit Install

I just ordered a FRPP 1/2 Lowering Kit. I want to do it my self. Does the kit come with instructions? I think the back will be easy but I think I might have a hard time with the front springs. Any tips. Anyone have a link to an instructions page or something.

thanks

Go to a thread called SPRING COMPRESSOR from 1-8-02 ( a couple pages back). Dons bolt and tampa svt cover this subject. I have the same kit and I installed the backs with no problem. I was going to have the fronts installed, but after reading there instructions I am going to do this myself.Hope this helps.

Ben, The installaion is easy. If you need some help let me know, I have the ground force kit. There is also a little trick to getting the control arms off, mine wouldn't budge with a mallet. Myself and Brian did my truck in about 2 hours. Brian has got pictures he may be able to send to you. Although I think he may be out of town.

Talking Install Tip...

When I installed my FRPP kit, in the front I just put the truck on jackstands and used a normal floor jack to hold the lower control arm in place then unbolted it from the back, 2 bolts. Once I did this I this slowly lowered the jack until there was no tension then the spring came right out, put the new one in and reversed the process, very easy and no special tools required. But this can be dangerous, just thought I would let you know how I did it. Good Luck and if you have any questions let me know.
