I can't wait until tonight when i goto the track and get to open these babies up.... they stink a little right now but that's just the steel reacting and the wierd coating they put on it burning off.... anyways here's the pic... oh and while i was back there I put in new cats so that my everyday sound was different.... and so it passed emmisions. i think .... here we go

first is where the DREADED precat used to be...

and this is the space that was left over from removing the two cats... also.. the single cat wieghs about 15-25 lbs less each side. so that's a mild weight saver......... my bad this is is of the area cut off from the cut out

I have the exact same setup on my 01 L, and let me tell you...god is it loud, good way to **** of the neighbors! fun.
the only difference on mine is that its using 3 inch cutouts and highflow cats...

by the way spade, do you think thats enough space away from the manifold to not burn my valves? or to create a decent siphon affect for exhaust flow?

Cool!

First off, VERY cool.

Couple of things though:

I think the cutouts have been proven to lose HP on the dyno.

SOME type of muffler is required at the track (unless they are REALLY lax)
