Topsy,
I think he was mentioning your URL pick. Looked at those bands on that CD and most of them were AM radio stars. If he wants to listen to Terrible Teddy, he should listen to"Great White Buffalo", "Journey to the Center of your Mind", and "Stranglehold", all three great cruise music. Now I'm showing my age (43).

Lets not forget about aerosmith, molly hatchet, acdc with bon scott, pat traverse band, robin thrower, outlaws,,blue oyster cult, kiss, frampton, bad company, ritche blackmore, jeff beck, van halen, johnny and edgar winter, early alice cooper,Stephenwolf, slade, early foreiner and fleetwood mac,the guess who= bto, frank zappa, santana, tom petty, styx and about 100 more. Although i am not quite as old as the others...the 70's did indeed "ROCK" and is still a heavy influende on todays music. I brought sabaths first alblum[actually available on cd lol] to work to let a 27 year old listen to and asked him what year he thought it was made? His answer was 1983 but it was made in 1969 and ozzy was 17[old fart] One thing about todays music which i am a fan of some is how often can you buy a cd and like every song on it? About six of the artists above are still recording and selling music today. How many groups knowadays will be around in 30 years? It seems nowadays like the better they are,the faster they break up.
Kinks, Ramones, Jefferson Airplane, It's a Beautiful Day, Yes, Moody Blues, CCR, Allman Bros, Manford Man, Tom Petty (yes, he started in the 70's), Little Feat (w/Lowell George)....those were great times.
Anybody remember "orange barrels" I'm glad those days are gone.

Did we all forget the DOORS??
As I sat here reading this yesterday, and today, I recalled the
music that my parents listened to, Perry Como, Dean Martin,
etc., etc. .
Funny thing is now, the music I chose to listen to which includes
almost all the R & R talent listed here, including Buddy Holly,
is the music that my 3 daughters ( ages 20,9,12) listen to
today.
I guess my old man was wrong when on that hot sunny day
back in the summer of 60 something while I was washing my
car in the drive way with the radio blasting some Janis Joplin
or Rolling Stones tune, he said, What the he!! is that? That *****
will never last!!!
Dad, I love you man, but you were WRONG !!!!
