If the old saying 'you get what you pay for' is true, it ought to sound kick a$$!

I went the less expensive Magnaflow route. I'll find out Wednesday how it's going to sound.

BTW, great choice - Bassani makes some high quality products.

Bassani catback

Ordered mine yesterday. Hope to have it on the L by Friday. Probably won't use the stereo for a couple weeks

Hey guys, whats up? Just wanted to put my $.02 in here about the Bassani Xhausts. I've had the full system installed for almost 2 years and it is by far the best sounding system I've heard yet on our trucks. In the spring of last year the pass. side cat went bad and I called Bassani in Calif. Within the week I had a new, redesigned cat system on my porch, no charge. It was from the headers to the mufflers (3 pieces) and included clamps and all! Last week I noticed a low rpm rattle in the drivers side cat and called again. They explained that there hadn't been any problems to date with the new round cats BUT they are sending me a brand new replacement today, no charge. Along with the Top Tuners on these forums, and my dealer Grande Ford, these Bassani people have stepped up to the plate and stood behind what they sell. I have always put the best parts on my truck and it's paid off time and again. Like the man says, "You get what you pay for". Later, Jack

Jack,
Sounds like you have been getting top notch service from Bassani, but I wonder why you are having so many problems with the system? Factory defects possibly? I mean, I wouldn't expect my factory cats to go out for a long, long time. Just curious...

You WILL NOT regret spending the money if you want top notch quality. I was thrilled when I opened my box and even more thrilled when I heard them. For me, they're perfect.

"Pi$$ed off"? hahahaha!! I love it!

They do give the L an aggressive sound alright but in a mellow way. I wouldn't take mine off for anything. I might as well weld it solid.

You da man Chickenears, those pics are what made me get the system. Once I saw it, I could't stop thinking about it.

He was talking about the Basanni cats, not the Ford ones. Basanni had some problems with earlier production cats but the current ones are supposed to be ok.

At the moment(and for some time), I will be 'exhaust challenged'

In those pics the muffler looks pretty close to the drive shaft. What kind of clearance are we looking at over there? I'm sure the bigger 01" driveshaft makes for a tighter fit with this system. As long as they aren't touching
