sorry buddy
Hey buddy I just now went thru enough pages to see you had wrote me. Well I'll tell you since you ask, I didn't want to void my warranty by cutting holes and I am a firm believer that Ford paid some engineers some good money to design the air box top. I think the air box top actually helps the air thru the MAS but the bottom only had a small hole for the inlet so, I remove the bottom and made me two straps out of wire tie raps to hold the K&N panel filter in the top half. On the MAS side it was easy to strap it in, on the other end there are two ribs one at each corner on the top side, I drilled a hole in each one so the tie raps could go through the hole and down around the filter so it wouldn't slip off. I Dynoed the truck with the bottom on and with it off, I had a 3.7 HP increase with it removed. The HP didn't really impress me that much so I went to the track and ran with the bottom on and with it off, I ran .27 faster with it off. Now I was happy. Cheap easy mod and it works.
