Man i bought a diablo sport chip today and installed it. It's a pos. It boggs at 4000 rpm and feels like its goin to die every time i step on it. I took out the chip. The performance shop i bought it from in houston has a no return policy. So im stuck wit a 350 dollor chip that doesn't work. Anyways i ran a best 13.39@102.82mph. I have a k &N filter and thats it on my 01 L.

 

Man that Bites, I got a Diablo chip for like 275.00 and I love it. Ran a 13.12 with just it on my 01. Hope you get it fixed.

 

Clean the contacts again before you condemn the chip. It is VERY important

No one on this board runs a chip.It will void your warranty.

 

 

I run a Diablo Chip burned by Ford Truck Enthusiasts, it worked alright, HP gain and shifting was noticeable, as was off the line quickness. However when it got cold here, I started detonation in my engine, the programs weren't all that great on it. So I just sent it back today for a reburn from Johnny Lightning. Great guy, helping me out with all my mods and reburning it for free. I had no problem with the chip, check the sanding job on the connectors otherwise I was happy with it, and hopefully with JL tuning it, I'll be even more happy with it.

 

I run a diablo chip and love it .Never a problem.Im lucky to be 20 mins from Diablo in BocaRaton Fl.Ask J.Lightning to reburn it,and if for whatever reason he cant or wont Email me at nitrous63@aol.com and I will go and speak to them and see what they can do.If you end up Emailing me make sure you give me a list of mods you have if any so I can let Patrick know.He is the head tuner over there.Ive been very happy with there service and product hope this helps.P.S. like the other reply said make sure you cleaned the surface before you install it.A bad contact will develope all sorts of problems

 

I also run the Diablo and love it. Like Doug said, make sure you have cleaned the contacts very good first it is very important and if that doesn't help you should contact JL, really you should have bought it from him in the first place. All these tuners here on this board are really specialist at tuning for our trucks.
