They're not hard to find at all. Look in your local Austin paper, or in the dallas morning news online.

I see used L's on the lots here in DFW quite a bit.

 

I see them a lot in car trader magazine! or on E-bay!!

Check Westway Ford in Irving. They usually get a pretty good flow of Gen II L's through there all the time. I bought my red '02 there on A-plan last week.

Logan, I'm just a few miles north of you. I live in Corinth! Do you know of any area Lightning owners groups? Maybe we could meet up one night and shoot the breeze? I know DFWstangs.net meets up in Carrollton on Thursday nights at Sonic.

I personally won't deal with Westway again- Awhile back I was looking for something with a little more room, and worked a deal with them for a 2001 HD- with them offering $23k for my '99 L at the time... Made 4 trips there, before they finally got the truck in from San Antonio (Took 2 weeks because "someone dropped the ball with the end of month going on blah blah) but, everytime I called, they were sure it was in...3 times totally wasted trips to the dealership... of course, this happened right at the beginning of the 0% promo from Ford...on the 4th trip (keep in mind the 4th trip was a month into the promo), went to do the deal, and all of a sudden my truck is worth $17,500- and they wouldn't honor our original agreement, and I was dealing ONLY with the internet SALES MANAGER.

Totally unacceptable- obviously Customer Service isn't important to them, even on a $34,000 vehicle.

But, now I'm glad, I probably came out better in the end not doing it- I still love my L more than I would that HD anyway...

As for Westway - I saved about $5000 going there vs. Bankston. Its a PITA to deal with them, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat to save that kind of mad cash.

 

I BOUGHT MY L AT LEIF JOHNSON FORD ON AIRPORT BLV. AND THAY HAD A USED ONE THERE I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH IT WAS BUT THAY SOLD US 3 TRUCKS AND WE GOT A GOOD DEAL ON THEM WELL GOOD LUCK ON FINDING ONE FOR YOUR FRIEND
