New Acura NSX.......$90K, 290hp??????
There $90K because there mostly aluminum construction and its a V6. 290 bhp I think is impressive for a V6. there curently not in production but there is a new coming out with a V8 and 400 bhp. And a much higher price.

Honda's been producing the NSX every year since '91. There is a slight front end re-design for '02. They have fixed head lights now instead of dated corvette style pop-up lights. A lot of things about this car justify the price I just don't feel like listing them all. But the main things are what PrinceVegeta mentioned. They are all alluminum and the engine is very expensive with carbon reinforce cylinder walls for strength and light weight. I've driven 3 and they are well worth the $$.
I'm not impressed for 90K..A stock SS,T/A, or L will show it tail lights for sure.. Cars do well though because there light.
Nice car but the 02 Z06 destroys the NSX. I think Honda went after balance instead of brute force..

NSX all the way!
Me and my brother went out a while back to look for a new car for him and we test drove a 99 NSX (still in great shape), a 911, and a even a lotus esprit that he alwasy wanted (to damn small).
Out of all the cars, that NSX held the road like it was on rails! that car is unbelieveable how well it handled, and all that on some fairly skinny tires I thought.
The lotus was right behind it in the handling and then the 911 eas right there behind the NSX, so he ended up getting the audi TT, WHY? He just has to have a covertable that he can drive in the snow. The tt is cool, but that NSX was awesome, not very scary fast, but enough for the handling abilities of the car.

I'm pretty sure honda has a factory supercharger kit for the NSX.
This is not some simple “bolt-on” do-hickie that blows air into an otherwise stock motor. Comptech is the outfit that builds Honda’s formula 1 motors. The Comptech NSX supercharger system replaces the entire top end of the motor with a new intake manifold, supercharger, fuel system, and engine management electronics. Acura dealers install the system, and provide full warranties. The engineering that has gone into this system is simply fantastic. The system uses a Lysholm-designed “screw-type” blower that provides consistent boost and compress the intake charge very efficiently with a minimal increase in air intake temperature. This combination helps provide almost instant boost (unlike centrifugal and roots type superchargers) to increase and broaden the torque curve substantially. All components have been tested to ensure factory reliability and that they fit properly in the NSX’s engine compartment. 50 state emissions legal.
