Welcome aboard matey; glad to see you've snagged a cold one and made yourself at home. GM makes some respectable HP--I've owned a few F-bodies myself (although not lately)...I still drool at the thought of a Z-06.

Anyways, this generation of Lightning has been around for long enough now that just about any modification you can think of has been done. From custom motors with 4-valve heads through Brembos and 5-link rear suspensions, it's been done by someone around here.

Using the built-in search engine for this stuff works pretty well, but if you can't find what you need, feel free to ask away. I'll give you a heads-up on posting however; there are 3 things you don't want to (dis)cuss here:

1) Religion
2) Politics
3) Which chip tuner is better than the other.

I would expect #3 would get you 'shot' faster than the first two put together <g>. I honestly can't answer why that is the way it is, but other than that, everyone is pretty much laid back.

So, kick back and enjoy the banter. As you take a pull on that longneck, remember you now own the baddest full-size pickup on the planet.

Thumbs up

Roger,

Hehe, yeah thank for the heads up my friend!!!! And youve got that right! You aint never been more correct! (on the L being the baddest thing in the trucking world!) You aint never been more right! I ordered a 00 L from my local dealer back when, and they siad cool, I picked silver, they later told me they had 2 allocations left, mine, then a white one at the end of the year.... Well, They said it'd be here in 3 weeks, so I said great, and called em in 3 weeks to the day (so anxious! ) they said, 3 more weeks.... I called 2 weeks later, and they told me they had the white one on the ground, but it was already sold... This guy didnt know who I was, and I got angered when he said this... I told him who I was and my situation, and he said 3 more weeks!! We talked for a while, then he called back saying, "the buyer on the white one backed out, its all yours" I declined saying that, I would love to own a white one, but it was the way they beat around the bush, and the way they treated me, that made me decline... I then pulled my $500 deposit, and rushed out and bought a 00 WS-6 that same day... Now dont get me wrong, I loved the wussix, but ever since that day I have been wanting to get back in the L crowd... Well, here I AM!! Finally!

And yeah, Ive thought about a Z-06 several times, and almost took the plunge on one, when i originally sold my other car... But decided to wait. I figured I would rather have the SS AND a L instead of a Z... I think i made the right decision!

P.S. Yeah i understand the 1. 2. and 3. No-nos completely, I am a veteran member on ls1.com, camaroz28.com, corvetteforum.com, and corral.net as well as stangnet, and they are always HOT topics, that get LOCKED quickly!

You wont hear any fuss from me tho, as I am just happy to be where I am

Thanks again Roger, and we'll look for you around the board!
I appreciate the warm welcome completely, and I apologoze for being so long-winded!

Respectfully,
TJ

T.J.; I'd have to agree with you on that one myself...just noticed you're from OKC--I have two brother-in-laws who live in Yukon, but it's been awhile since I've been down that way (they've done the driving the last few times).

BTW, next round's on you <g>...

NewBlue:

If you were the guy inquiring about L videos on LS1.com, then I think ol' lightninrod was the first to mention f150online. Us ol' cusses get cranky when we think we've been 'dissed'(did I say that?). In any case, glad to have you over here--it'a a good place to be.
